Lance Kann

Lance Kann is in his 42nd year of professional experience in the Pharmaceutical industry, having worked for some of the largest and most successful firms in the business including Teva, IVAX, Chartwell, Cipla, Wyeth, and Mylan; and providing consulting services to a number of others. His expertise is in strategy development, end-to-end global supply chain, international operations, sourcing and procurement, logistics and distribution, project management, change management, and information technology; and is recognized for bringing innovative and creative, but practical process approaches to meet and anticipate business challenges. His keen awareness of cGMPs and relevant quality/compliance topics also ensures that solutions recommended support current practices.   In recent times, significant work in DSCSA compliance and its implications for manufacturers and distributors.

Lance has built or transformed operational functions resulting in customer service excellence, accommodating organic growth and integrating new ventures, establishing lean and efficient operations, ensuring strong quality and compliance, building value-added supplier relationships, and driving cost-effectiveness. He brings insight from work with large internal networks and external CMOs for markets worldwide. He has managed large global product portfolios incorporating every dosage form and manufacturing technology, including generics, innovative, biopharmaceuticals, vaccines, consumer/over the counter products, and active ingredients/drug substances.

Currently he is the President and Principal Consultant for PharmaSupplyPartners, LLC, providing global consulting and hands-on ongoing operational services to the industry, including large, modest-size, non-asset based firms – in solid dosage, liquids and semi-solids, injectables, and plasma-based biological products.   

During his time with Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, he served as Vice President of Global Product Network Operations, and Global Supply Chain Operations.  Previously he led the IVAX Supply Chain, was with Wyeth as Vice President of Global Supply Chain Strategic Network Planning,  with Mylan leading Corporate Materials Management and Information Systems, and began his career at Lederle/Cyanamid in various Laboratory and Operations roles.

He holds a BS in Biochemistry/Chemistry and an MBA in Industrial Management, and is APICS certified. He is also proud to serve as a Board Trustee for Brother’s Brother Foundation, based in Pittsburgh, one of the top professional medical goods charitable institutions in the world.
